Māngere Mountain Education Centre has over 10 years' experience in delivering enquiry-led, out-of-classroom learning experiences to school groups. Our programmes are linked to the NZ curriculum and offer a wide range of learning opportunities. We can cater for school groups up to 60 students per day. The cost for our full-day programme is $15 + GST per student.
School trips usually involve a guided walk over Māngere Mountain followed by a hands-on educational workshop at our Education Centre. Choose from popular classes such as Kite Making, Flax Work, Medicinal Gardens and more.
Topics covered may include Science, Geology, Social Studies, History and Māori Culture. We find that children really enjoy the experience and learn a lot in their time with us. We can tailor your visit to support a particular learning topic that you wish to pursue. Please discuss your requirements with our friendly staff.

Yes. We are always mindful of the students and the weather. The contingency plan is always shared during the school's staffs pre-visit.
Yes. Buses have external parking on Coronation Road. Directly outside the gates on the same side as the centre itself.
