Guided walks include the Māori Walk / Hikoi Māori that explore Māori migration, oral histories and signs of settlement on the mountain, or the Volcanic Walk / Hikoi Puiā that develops understanding of the Auckland volcanic field and its geological features.

Every school group will also be able to take part in a hands-on workshop. These workshops are interactive and cover activities such as flax work, gardening, kite making, Māori medicine, poi making, stick games, traditional games and traditional tools.

We are also constantly refreshing our educational programme with innovative partnerships, such as the Land and Sky programme developed with Stardome.
